For example, when I bought my PRS-900 from B&H they sent it with UPS. When it arrived in Sweden UPS called me and we settled the VAT and import fees over the phone.
B&H seems to do it now, when I checked on their site for the shipping costs for a PRS 650, they indicated 104$ of VAT & duties. It's an awful lot IMHO (VAT is about 20% here, so that would make 46$, though I think it's unfair as the US price must include some sort of VAT already which should be substracted from our VAT), but I don't think they have anything to say on the duties costs, which are prohibiting (60$ !). But at least it's done properly and legally.
