I would actually have to agree with the author on that one. Probably because English is a foreign language to me. I tend to open my definitions a lot to read through it all. Despite that, there are times when I'm forced to guess the intention of the author because there aren't any definition given for a phrase. This becomes even more apparent when you switch between UK and US books.
