Why do you say "supposed to do"? It works for me.
I'm not sure how to check the metadata in the books themselves. Ebooks are still somewhat mysterious packages to me . I can see the metadata in the calibre database, but I don't know how to check if the book metadata is different.

As for saying "supposed to do"...that's just my way I speaking. I'm overly cautious and I don't make declarative statements unless I'm certain of the results. Since I don't really know what happens to the metadata, I don't feel comfortable saying does happen, only what I think is supposed to happen .
