That sounds like the behavior that I saw in a video demonstrating another sipix reader , I think it was called the 'booq'. The vendor explained it as the antialiasing kicking in, and did not quite seem to get why the interviewer was questioning it. I have a feeling it is really not tweaked for the display. Could even be a truetype 'clearfont' like rendering that is meant for rgb screens. They need to tweek it or give an option to turn it off it seems.
