Perhaps. For quite some time they've been picking up the shipping costs on orders over $25 shipped by the slowest option -- do they do that in the UK? I haven't every checked.
Anyway, if they can negotiate a per KB rate with no monthly connection fee (odd, yes, but not
that far-fetched an idea for a company with their throw-weight), even if the per KB rate wasn't very good, it'd probably be cheaper than what they're already dropping on "Super Saver" shipping.
No magical fairies or cuckoos required.
