It was such a long time ago I added books on it that I don't remember if you had to convert them to xhtml format or if it could read epub directly...
Either way, it's kind of a hassle, but i've grown fond of it. I've read by far more than i've played on the DS this year.
Just checked, it runs ePub files directly so no need to convert. But ofcourse, no protected ePub files.
