Nonsense. Publishers give wholesalers (& Amazon) 55% or more discount on paperbacks. They only give 30% commission on ebooks to Amazon

£7.00 paperback: at least £3.85 to Amazon, at most £3.15 to publisher, of which at least £0.50 is production/storage/shipping cost. Gross Profit: max. £2.65. (38% of the price the customer paid.)
