Seriously (and good question dg): Yes - you can solve this mystery even if you are not personally familiar with the MR members I've used as characters, or the stories I've told about them. Approach it just as you would any other mystery - close reading (or inspired guessing) will reward your search for "who done it!" So everyone can participate on an even footing!
