In Calibre

Click Peferences
Click Plug-ins

Now in Calibre there are all sorts of plug-ins. Say For instance

File Type Plug-ins

So for instance, if you were installing a *certain type* of Plug-ins you might want to highlight

File Type Plug-ins

Then down the screen a bit at the bottom where it says Plug-In file you'd want to browse to where a certain Plug-In zip file would be stored on your computer and then click "Add"in Calibre.

Then, if your Plug-In came with any further directions, like how to Customize the Plug-In ---- those would probably be contained in a txt File called "ReadMe*XXXX" that you could open up to see how to make the Plug-In work for you specifically.
