My Kindle is an 3rd gen (Wifi) and updated to v3.0.3 firmware, jail-broke and installed with Font hack kindle-fonts-3.9.N-k3 (update_fonts_3.9.N_k3w_install.bin). Everything went smoothly until I decided to use Droid_Sans-PKG.zip from here https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...&postcount=767. I use Update Your Kindle with this file, and after rebooting, the Kindle homepage is invisible and the menu is acting funny: the menu doesnt disappear after selection or select but nothing happen/no response.

Moreover, I cannot use the Update Your Kindle in Settings anymore. It just flash a little bit, and nothing happened. Fortuanately, I can still select, load the book and read the book content. But the homepage is truly broken: invisible, no respone to menu selection, only selecting books is available.

I did put the associated uninstall bin font hack into root, and restart, but the update say there's error (code is 3). When I put the original firmware 3.0.3, it even doesnt show the update progress, just reboot and everything stays the same.

Any idea or suggestion to fix this is appreciated

EDIT: I fixed it. I managed to update using the uninstall bin font hack. Seems the K3 isn't compatible with Droid_Sans font.
