I picked up the 950 earlier this week, and I must say that I am very impressed. Not only is the display spectacular to look at, but the drawing in text and text highlighting window can be left open, so that marking up documents for later is a breeze! Folder creation can be done in the unit, though it seems best to hook it up to a computer to actually fill those folders with books/pdf's. As most of you may have heard, the Sony software is abysmal - ugly, feature-free, and very disappointing. I am trying out Calibre (open source free-ware) and am finding it to be a much better tool, though time will tell if I will be able to totally get rid of the Sony ware. I guess that is one good thing about the 3G service - I will still be able to buy books if I do.

Unfortunately, Sony seems to have ignored their supply chain obligations to customers, so it is virtually impossible to find a slim cover, like the one that came with the 900. Maybe not a big deal for some, but I am pretty peeved, as it leaves me feeling like I can't lug it around like I would like to, for fear of damaging it.

Anyway, after looking at the Kindle3, 650, and 950, I am happy with my choice, and with the quality of this product. This is despite not caring at all about 3G coverage at the time of purchase - I would have been just as happy with simple wi-fi capabilities, I think.
