True, start time does seem to vary. It seems the first time after reboot or upgrade is the longest.

It only seems to take forever because you didn't use it much 6 months back.
I just added 1 tag to 10000 books and it took maybe 40 seconds. This same process many moons ago took untold minutes, 15 plus easily.
