For what its worth the Cyber security journals tell me that there are a few hardware that tend to be theft targets. AS a general rule the ones that are likely to get stolen are: ipods, ipads, kindles and Sony PRS readers. This is because they are successful and highly recognizable items. I doubt my Aluratek Libra Pro would be a theft target, who has heard of Aluratek anyway.
