restitve is the type of touch where the screen has to fully feel your pressure of your finger, almsot like hitting a real button

Capactive is used on more expensive screens. This is the very light touch, where you can swipe, slid and just touch. the iPhone, iPad, Samsung, Droids and a whole host of other use this.

usually when you see resistive you can pretty much bet it's used on cheaper screens. it's kind of first generation touch screens.

As far as will it matter? only you can answer that question.
