Hi from Ann Arbor, Michigan

First, thanks to you all for creating such an informative and welcoming community!

I work in higher ed and hope to connect with users who are putting ereaders through their paces, especially regarding annotation capabilities. I'm also interested in multi-language features, so I don't entirely lose the bits of Spanish, French, Italian, and Czech acquired in my youth and maybe even can get acquainted with some new languages.

For pleasure reading, I especially like novels about people crossing geographic and cultural boundaries and the genres of history, biography, fantasy, and science fiction.

For annotation and language support features, I'm leaning towards the Pocketbook line of ereaders and will be posting some questions in that forum. I'm also a complete newbie when it comes to Calibre and RSS news feeds. My current "ereader" is my smartphone with Kindle's android app and aldiko.

Suggestions for where else to direct my attention in this overwhelmingly rich site are most welcome.https://www2.mobileread.com/i/smilies/smile.gif
