We use QR codes just about every day in normal life style activities in japan. Almost all magazine advertisements have them, take-out food services, links to schedules, etc. It used to be that if you needed a copy of a bus schedule or a movie theater, you had to copy it by hand. Now we just point our phones at the QR code and we have the schedule automatically. Very convenient! Want to order a pizza? Shop for airline tickets? Even make an appointment at the dentist!
