You could use a stylus from another device, like an old Palm Pilot or a Nintendo DS Lite. They won't fit in the tiny Sony silo, tho.
I have the wacky notion of asking a friend of mine who does silver casting to make a sterling silver stylus for me. I wonder how much that'd cost? Probably less than Sony charges for the aluminum one.
