Interesting. My 950 shipped on the 28th and is due to be delivered tomorrow by FedEx ground -- but it shipped without the ordered cover. Supposedly the cover won't be available until mid-November.

I also called Sony this morning to ask about a black 950. Apparently there will be one but there is no estimated date. I'm debating about arranging to return my coming silver 950 and ordering the black one. However, I have to admit that I have a silver 505 and once I start reading, I don't even notice the silver frame. I'm torn about what to do (yet, I'll probably just keep the silver 950).
