However, the user can export, rar compress and then re-add the "master" format if he wants to keep it in the same book record. It's a bit tricky because Calibre will attempt to unpack the rar'ed file during import, so it's best to rar up inside a folder or add multiple files. Then it will be stored as a rar without unpacking.
