thanks for your message. We got several reports of problems with the Kindleguide on the Kindle3 ; apparently, Amazon changed something in their code which was causing a conflict. We don't have a Kindle3 available for testing but based on the reports we made some modifications, and users who volunteered for beta testing have reported that the new version is working fine for them.

Note that we have added quite a lot of books to our catalogue recently and the file was becoming too large for the Kindle to index, so we were obliged to remove all the lists except one; I mention this because one user noticed and believed she got a corrupted download or incomplete file.

Please delete the old Kindleguide from your Kindle (I believe that you can do this from your computer while the Kindle is connected via usb; if not, please ask Kindle support or on MobileRead forums for confirmation), and download the latest version. If you still have trouble with the file, please let us know.

I downloaded the Kindleguide again--couldn't open it, nor delete it. Then I downloaded it to my PC and transferred it by USB to ' documents' on my Kindle. Works like a charm now. But strange; about not being able to open it when downloaded on the Kindle.
I'll let feedbooks know.
