Same here. Assuming DRM to not be an issue, Calibre is about as easy to use as any software I've seen in almost 20 years of computer usage (granted, I'm probably intermediate-to-advanced in general computer knowledge, even when on the learning curve for some new piece of software). As for time, I've done mass converts of large PDFs and kept right on going with other activities on the same computer with no bog-down problem. One could even start such an operation before leaving the house, going to bed, etc.
