I'm fascinated by this world. What I really love about this board is the vast range of informed opinion and the willingness of people on the board to share their knowledge.
I've learnt here; far more than simply gathering information. It's more like having a room full of experts next door and when you have some esoteric question that needs answering, you crack the door open, kick aside the diet coke cans and discarded pizza boxes, and say, "Hey what do you guys think about this ..." Sometimes its the guys sitting quietly in front nearest the door who give a quick, quiet answer and the door closes. Others, a ripple of a murmur runs through the room and turns into an excited babble.
I wonder if any of the large mainstream publishers lurk. If you're here, don't be shy, "Say hello. Yes we are paying attention and not asleep at the wheel. The train is still on the tracks and we do see the wall."
