Well, you have loads of time available before your warranty is out of time--so maybe see how it goes. People who had D-Pad problems have usually reported separation of the pad from the body--so this may be very different. Your choice. I heard (second hand) that at my local Chapters store, they said that they would be exchanging version one machines for the kobo wireless for folks once they could not get replacements. Not sure that means anything here, much less where you are.
