Well, ePub
has become the standard, at least the corporate one for bookstores... but users outright ignore it, because they prefer to download the books for free, outraged by the high prices of ePub and the ADE software. In Spain not-for-profit transmission of content is not illegal, and that has been confirmed by many instances of jurisprudence.
