It shows in my Kobo computer application library.
It will not load into my e-reader using the Kobo application sync. It says it loads it, but it's not in the library of the reader.
I have purchased and sync'd three previous new books since getting the reader four days ago.
(Windows 7 64 bit. No problems until now)

I can confirm I have the same problem.
a) book shows up on the web site
b) book shows up in the desktop app
c) book doesn't show up in the reader after sync'ing successfully
I've tried sync at first with the v1.7 firmware (it asks you if you want to update; I declined) and then upgraded to v1.7.1 firmware. The book does not show up in the reader.
Interestingly enough, I do get a file copied to the "\.kobo\kepub" folder; GUID filename but shows with the current date/time stamp.
