If you don't want the larger screen or the wireless I would save the money. The clarity of the screen is certainly better than the 505, but why waste the money if the features don't appeal to you. On the other hand you could look at a 650 which gives you the newer screen and touch, but without the wireless and larger screen size. You'll save a few bucks as well.
There are other benefits outside of the screen size and wireless such as updated software and faster performance that may be a benefit to you, but these would be the same between the 650 and the 950. The touch feature also makes a huge difference when reading anything with links such as a newspaper. I personally love mine and I really like the 7 inch screen, but everyone's needs/desires are a little different.
