My generator is almost like this one from Harbor Freight Tools, but only 4400 Watts + whatever the "max" rating is. A nice feature on mine is a display showing the total hours of operation to remind the owner of needed maintenance.


It's noisy and I've been trying to figure out how to put a motorcycle muffler on it. The problem is supporting something that's going to be vibrating. A lot.

While typing this a solution suddenly occurred to me. High temperature" flexible hose.. This one for example is rated - "Inner Layer; -65 to 550". All I have to do is attach the motorcycle muffler to the side and then attach a loop of the tubing between the two. I'll probably have to have a fitting or two made by a welding shop though.
