I agree wholeheartedly with the recommendations of the Kindle 3 with 3G.
I made a similar recommendation about a year ago to a friend who seems to have the same characteristics as you (although she wouldn't have posted in this or any forum, as she doesn't like computers). She loves her Kindle 2 with 3G! And she hasn't ever had to use the computer for any part of her Kindle usage.
I can't judge how easy the page turns will be for you, however. They're long, narrow edge buttons. I think they'll be fine, but can't say for sure.
