Good to have your company, Trowzee. I had similar problems with a Sony when I was charging via PC and laptop. Simply put; it doesn't work. And the battery level on the machine itself is hopelessly optimistic and unreliable. You need a good mains charge. Do that and you might find, as I immediately did, that you'll have years of trouble-free use. Other than that wee hitch, the Sony is a fine piece of hardware. Good luck and best wishes. Neil
