Well, to be fair, I was comparing it to the webscription epubs (for BUjold only), which (as I said) appear much too faint (with any nook font selected) on the nook. I've been reading the Baen prcs (or mobi, which is the same thing) for years on my Palm and have been quite happy with the formatting. Perhaps it's a reader/device specific issue for you? Dunno. Good luck with the epubs though. Perhaps just running the epubs through Calibre (epub - epub) may solve the font issue.

In any case, just wanted to say that my experience appears to be exactly reversed where epub and prc are concerned
