You'll probably find the nibs wear out quicker because of the textured surface - I'm noticing that with mine (but then, I'm also using the stylus as my mouse). I read somewhere it's supposed to mimic the feeling of paper, but it really doesn't!

True, it is better than a flat glass-slick surface like the previous, so in that respect I think it's a bit better and having used mine quite a bit for the past year...not too bad on nib-wear...
