I don't have a lot of money these days. I bought a couple of used books this last month at my local store - some used paperbacks for about $10 each last month - plus a couple of hardcovers from ebay/half/amazon.

I don't buy DRM'd ebooks. Especially not for the prices they seem to want (more than the price of a real book shipped via UPS).

I prefer ebooks to paperbacks, but not for a 200-400% price premium over a used paperback. And I still prefer hardcovers to ebooks - you can loan them, resell them, and there's no copy protection, and no need to charge them.

I love my nook, but I mainly use it for freebies, copyright expired stuff, and for darknet/homebrew ebook versions of my existing paperbacks and hardcovers, for portability reasons.
