I know that Amazon sell a extended warranty on their site, but it does not appear to be flexible. It is a two year warranty that overlap wit the current one year warranty, so I'm only getting one additonal year which seem pretty expensive. I'll have to check into Squaretrade and thanks for the information
sure - just go to squaretrade.com and purchase one, where it says Purchased At type in Best Buy. There is a current code "Autumn" out there for 20% off and if you Google around you can usually find one for 30%. I'd recommend you scan your receipt now and email it to them, and then maybe keep a copy of that scan on your computer and on the Kindle.

Whether or not you will want to for a $140 item is up to you. I didn't on my K3 because the prices have come down so much I'm comfortable just taking the risk and besides my credit card already doubles the standard warranty.

I just bought a Square Trade Warranty for a Dell Laptop the other day though because there is a fairly likely chance somebody in the family will drop the thing, spill a drink over the keyboard or sit on it - given our history.
