Not whining smart-ass, and I have an ipad, it sits in the drawer of my desk collecting dust along with a 500$ camera that I rarely use and a 3000$ gaming laptop that I have no use for. Also there's a minidisk player, gps, and two ipods.

Wasted electronics are wasted.

My phone can take pictures + do basic web + play music + works as GPS, and my kindle can display books for me to read on. Dy desktop can play games.

I wonder how many people scoffed like a clown at the kids who thought up the idea to put the wheel on the ipod, or the motion/ir sensor in the wii remote. Thought + prototypes give us more than instant negative feedback. Besides, what I suggested is entirely different than an Ipad, as it does not have an e-ink display. I was suggesting compacting the device by adding a miniature touchscreen/lcd, which would increase the speed of menu functions because e-ink is slow, and it also wouldn't fill up the reading area with thumb prints. But you are entitled to your opinion, so scoff away.
