As an avowed coffee snob, I have abandoned commercial bulk, stale, pre-ground coffee as undrinkable. I buy beans unroasted (about half price of top quality roasted beans in the grocery store), roast only what I can use in a few days, grind only what I am brewing, and use the proper water temperature. Once you stray, you'll never return. So many different beans, so little time ...
