Hello all! Long time lurker, finally decided to take the plunge and introduce myself.

I've been in love with reading -- especially hard-core science fiction -- since ~1968, so the recent growth of ebooks has been a real dream-come-true. I'm not really an Apple Fanboi, but *blush* I must confess that my wife and two kids and myself and even my father and my sister and her family -- we all have iPads, and love 'em a lot. Although I'm not above picking up one or more of the new Android-based tablets when and if they hit the market.

Recently I've become interested in the possibility of starting some kind of home business in the ebook realm. I've got two degrees in computer science and have worked in the software industry for over 25 years, so I know the tech side -- but I don't know diddly about the publishing business! So I may be asking some questions over in the Writer's Corner.
