I have around 8000 books in Kindle, but not in a documents directory.
I have created books folder, where are all stored and sorted.
So I only need a USB connection to any PC to "pick up any book from my own library"
edit - my books are in mobi format, without any pictures, so 8000 books takes around 2 GB of space.
