It is informative and educational.
The idea itself is scary. I am totally clueless about all of this survival stuff. It is sci-fi for me. I do not exaggerate.
I live in a town approximately 120.000 people. We have never had an outage for longer than 30 minutes. All of the preparations you are talking about it is like watching a TV show or series. It doesn't feel real at all. I cannot imagine the need for such knowledge in my daily life. On the other hand, so many people are real Pro in it that it makes me wonder. It makes me feel very inferior.
Now, to avoid the feeling of inferiority I have two choices. Either start actually learning or to be an ostrich. Naturally, I opt to the latter. It is an easier choice.
