seriously though, I grew up reading those types of books. on top of that, my Dad who was a reasonable person in every other way was convinced that the "soviets" were going to invade at any time. he had buried caches in the mountains around Boulder for about 20 years. I used to go with him and check them, re-stock and so on.

I firmly believe that even if we witness the end of our current society, like any good Phoenix, we can be reborn
