You compare apples and oranges.

I guess you assume that if you read a book very fast you do not enjoy it as much as if you read it slowly, savouring the details and memorising it better. Ask speed readers. Many of them, remember as much or even more than slow readers. I visit a few book forums. Some people read a book every 2-3 days, sometimes in one day and they can write detailed and comprehensive reviews.
I just accept it as a fact and envy them, but that's life. Some people are smarter, some are healthier, some are wealthier etc.
