It seems to happen with some fonts on a number of Kindles, and, given as I can't reproduce it on my Kindle, I have no idea why that is, or how to fix it (besides using other fonts)...

To disable the hack, remove/rename the linkfonts/auto file via USB, and restart your Kindle. (by using the autoreboot feature (ie. drop a blank reboot file in the linkfonts folder), or by holding the power switch ~15s).
