I'm happy to say that my local BB has upgraded their Kindle display. They changed out the dirty beat up shelves, added some cases, an info sheet, and the tray so the Kindle at least sits properly now. They also put a fabric backdrop behind the whole thing. The only thing they didn't do was clean the crud off the screen. If I'd had my glasses cleaning kit on me I'd have given it a quick wipe. Still, it's a lot better than it was.
