Nope, I meant uncompressed as referenced
here. (link to HDMI spec and not blu-ray, but same point). That's up to 8 channel PCM data, as opposed to compressed audio in DTS or AC3 formats.
Compressed audio is still required since not every player nor receiver can support uncompressed audio.
