When people say "I just like the feel of a book in my hand" they really mean that reading is not only about getting some information but a process that should be comfortable and entertaining. We think that we all agree about that.

I already mentioned in another thread how proofreaders work only on paper because practice has shown again and again that working on LCD screens means that a lot of mistakes will be missed. Reading on the screen is imperceptibly more stressful. The imperceptible part is why many people may seemingly irrationally prefer paper books without really telling the actual reason.

E-ink technology is a breakthrough in reading comfort and very close to paper quality therefore many people have switched to e-books without looking back. But at this moment we don't know yet how it works for all types of people. For some it may be even better than paper prints due to adjustable font size but others may perceive some inadequacies in other aspects that are hard to measure.
