The first indication that there is an issue is that it shows a blank entry with no name but appears to move it.

I then save the epub so that it hopefully will save the changes then I close out Sigil and then reopen it and open the epub I just saved. The entry still shows at the bottom and is not moved at all.

Now if I move it and then try to right click on it just to rename or whatever it immediately crashed the app back to the desktop.

I'm willing to help test this.
I have also experienced this. There's an issue in the tracker somewhere, but I think it has been closed since it appears (in my case anyway) related to the use of the KDE desktop rather than Gnome. That is, I have the problem on Debian Sid, (with KDE) and on Kubuntu (10.04) but not on Ubuntu (10.04). So, the problem seems to be out of Valloric's hands.

There's a bunch more qt4 libs in the KDE environment than in Gnome, and my guess is they don't all play well together with what comes with Sigil (despite using the startup script).

On Debian, I'm running KDE 4.4.5 and Sigil 0.3.0RC2, and the problem still exists.
