Temper, Temper.... Escaping to the country does no good, where do you think everybody will be trying to escape to?
To escape the fall of civilization takes much more thought than that. And in the end you (or your descendants) will just be barbarians, anyways. You pays your money and makes your choice...
I decided I didn't want to be a barbarian the last survivalist wave (late 1970's). That's the Mel Tappan joke... He wrote the book (literally) on how to use guns in a survivalist mode. He died in 1980 - I'm still cranking along.
That doesn't mean I couldn't have a power outage...
