We're a 2-Reader couple, and not about to turn loose of them any time soon. I can't understand why anyone wouldn't want an ebook reader. You can have mine when you pry it from my cold, dead hands.

As for kitchen reading, I saw something in Sam's Club a few months ago. It might have been a Demy; I'm not sure, as I didn't look too closely at it. It did, however, claim to be kitchen-safe, and full of recipes which are undoubtedly useful to people who go beyond "read the back of the box" -- a group of which I, regrettably, am not a member (I'm a whiz at reading the pizza delivery phone number, though!). I have a clear plastic pencil bag for my 505: it's tough, durable, cheap, and very waterproof.
