I also like my netbook best for cookbooks and recipes in the kitchen. The library has tons of ebook cookbooks, and if you use calibre, you can get a free subscription to Epicurious for her.

As one of the previous posters mentioned, the netbook is a much better size for a recipe. Also my netbook will rotate vertically, so I can see both the ingredients and the cooking directions all on one page.
