Hibernation and just plain old sloth should be mandatory for all prisoners not used to help make Soylent Green. I don't want them exercising. I want them laying on a couch, watching TV, and eating Hostess Twinkies all day long. I want to out run them, or at least beat them up if they cause problems upon release from prison.
But for the common person that may be a very good idea. Just think, they can hibernate in a coffin sized box on alternating days, weeks, or months. While they are hibernating someone else can live in their 4 foot high apartment, and work in their 4 foot high office.
