Mine is almost 3 years old and still like a new except battery life. It is about 40-45% of the original. It lasts 5 days instead of 14.
I still like Sony Reader's hardware and don't see any alternative.
However, the price is over the top IMO. Kindle 3 plus Wi-Fi £110 only? and 650 £200 w/o £30 cover and £25 charger?
When people deliberate what to buy, how can I honestly suggest Sony? It is so hassle free to buy ebooks with kindle. Let alone a £150 model with 3G, when you can get ebooks from anywhere, no need for a computer at all and so much cheaper than Sony? Yes, kindle is tied down to Amazon ebook shop. So what? It is the best out there with the best prices anyway.
I work with computers and connecting Sony to my PC isn't an issue, but for Average Joe? fill in the gap
